Introduction

Web Services are XML-based information exchange systems using the Internet for direct application-to-application interaction. Software applications written in various programming languages and running on various platforms can use Web Services to exchange data over computer networks in a manner similar to inter-process communication on a single computer.

The two types of services used in the Infor EAM Web Services are REST and SOAP. In the next sections, you can learn more about these Protocols and how to use them.
